About Me
My name is Annette Reinosa, a multidisciplinary artist from Puerto Rico, now based in Tampa, FL. The Odd Garden is an extension of my creativity, where I connect with myself and other artists. I began my journey in 2012 through skateboarding and art, later studying visual arts at Escuela de Artes Plásticas. During my time there, I worked with studio photography, honing my skills in lighting, composition, and capturing subjects in controlled environments. Realizing how art and skateboarding intertwine, I immersed myself in both worlds, shaping my everyday life.
In 2017, I moved to Florida, seeking new experiences and deeper connections within the skate scene. This led to co-founding Garden Skate in 2019, creating a space to empower female skaters. As the lead designer, I used my colorful, out-of-the-box ideas to bring our vision to life.
My art explores nature and vivid colors through unconventional, psychedelic-inspired visuals. I’ve been passionate about photography for years, using it as a tool to capture and reinterpret life’s moments. I have a deep understanding of photographing people and flowers, bringing out their unique essence through composition and lighting. Additionally, I’m proficient in filming and post-production, using video as another medium to tell visual stories. Much of my inspiration comes from nature, skateboarding culture, and anything odd and unconventional.
I’m currently in the process of becoming a tattoo artist, expanding my creative practice into a new medium. Through tattooing, I aim to bring my bold, colorful style to life on skin while continuing to grow as an artist.
I strive to inspire others, especially women and those struggling with confidence, through art and skateboarding. My journey is one of continuous learning, and I’m eager to collaborate on unique projects with fellow creatives.
